File compatibility

Bring the file you plan to share.

Supported files include JPEG, PNG, WebP, TIFF/DNG, MP4, and MOV up to 200 MB. Learn what metadata cleaning changes and what it preserves.

Photo formats

Choose the Photo option for JPEG, PNG, WebP, TIFF, and DNG. The scanner checks supported metadata structures in the file rather than relying on the extension alone.

Some formats may scan successfully without an in-page image preview. Preview availability and metadata parsing are separate capabilities.

  • JPEG: .jpg and .jpeg
  • PNG and WebP
  • TIFF and DNG containers

Video formats

Choose Video for MP4 and MOV containers. Container support does not mean every codec, malformed file, or unusual export is supported. A file that cannot be fully parsed will not receive a verified clean result.

The cleaner does not transcode video, repair a damaged recording, or convert one format into another.

File size

The current maximum is 200 MB per file. If your export is larger, create a smaller supported copy in your editor and scan that copy. Keep the original separately.

These are Labelwatermark’s limits. A social network may have different requirements for file size, codec, dimensions, duration, and aspect ratio.

What can be removed

Supported C2PA, XMP, EXIF, and IPTC metadata blocks can be removed. The output is scanned again before it is offered as a verified download.

Those blocks can hold orientation, dates, location, authorship, or copyright information. Review the result’s appearance and preserve any information you need in your own records.

What stays in the picture

Visible logos, signatures, captions, and pixel-based watermarks remain. Metadata removal does not reconstruct covered areas or determine whether an image depicts a real event.
